The first place where there were old paintings on the walls is located in Monte Alegre, in the Brazilian State of Pará. The area is placed on the left side of the Amazon river and there are more than 50 km of tracks in the middle of the jungle that lead to the Ererê Mountains.
The colors of the paintings are red and yellow and they represet the sun, the moon and symbols of the cosmos.
Further than that, on Pay-Tuna Mountains, there is the Pilão Cave or Pedra Pintada Cave. There, the American archeologist Anna Roosevelt found, in the beginning of the 90’s, human remainder considered the oldest in Brazil.
The escavation in the cave reveled, deep down, bones, teeth and ink on the walls. The place where they were found is 11.200 years old.
The results of the research, which mean they were made by humans, were published on the magazine SCIENCE. It makes us think that Clovis men may not be the first habitant of the New World.
