La Tzoumaz (also referred to as Les Mayens des Riddes) is a ski resort in the Swiss Alps, in the canton of Valais. It is part of the "Four Valleys" ski area and at an altitude of 1500m on north-facing slopes. Popular with families, the village is named after the word "tzoumer", which means taking a break. La Tzoumaz enjoys a long ski-season, lasting from early December all the way through to late-April.
