interesting place, coal mine
We call them collectively the twin coal tips. Both coal tips of N°6 are certainly the most beautiful western specimens of the mineral field of the Nord-Pas de Calais. Two massive cones rooted on three municipalities, Haillicourt, Maisnil and Ruitz. These black mountains, formed by the sterile materials gone back up by the pit 6 of Bruay, were born in 1953 and 1964. They peak in 180 m over what the inhabitants call the " pays à part ". To note that they were sowed by helicopter by the company Sofiter in 1993.
