The park is dominated by a hill (28 meters above sea level) - the 13th Century it was still called by the Heidberg Heimechhude - on which now the largest former water tower of Europe, the ski jump tower is located. It's industrial architecture , built from 1907 to 1910 in the Hamburg water works (HWW) hired architect William Black. Used was the tower until 1961. It is 57.5 meters high, octagonal in shape and has a diameter of 32 meters.
