  • This is inaccrately named as Koshi Dam. Actually it is Koshi Barrage. Built in the 1960s and inaugurated by Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru (1 st Prime Minister of India) and Sri Mahendra (His highness, then King of Nepal. Interestingly, Koshi Dam was planned to be built up in the mountains of Nepal near Barahkshetra, but never saw light of the day.
