After the 3 billion GBP takeover of Safeway in March 2004 by Ken Morrison and the team at Bradford based Wm Morrison, the store at Ripon was one of the two that were first to open as 'Morrisons' on Friday 23rd April 2004.

It has a petrol station and two cashpoints outside and is the only 'out of town' supermarket in Ripon
