In Adum which is located at south and 370 km from Jada and about 350 km from Maka .
It is most neglected one of five hospital belong to Jeda health affairs in Jada .
contain 100 bed as total capacity and serive poor area of about 10000 people .
According the hospital staff
about 12 residant are available most of them is of --- degree and salary and their number is continiously declining.
consaltant ; there is three consultant in pediatric , surgury , medecine
specielests; there is about fiften specialist of diploma and master degree.
there is lack in numper of staff totally and specially in residant and sisters.
Because there is lack of sersvices and equipment in Adum there is markable escape of the medical staff from that hospital .
according to Adum people , lack of education is one of the main proplems facing the medical staff in that medical provider.
many problems is being created in ER department specially in abscince of confidant security .
Accually residant and ER staff is suffering to much from being in contact with the people , as some people is hapitually upuse the staff , and come by their own belives to be applied in the hospital , and not that medical oppinion(they common ward is this is governmental money , you will not give me from your pocket).
Adum is totaly surrounded by mountains every side and inspite of being near to Maka and Taif ,no way to go out as these high mountain work as uncrossable barrier to reach to civilized areas .
Many years before they start to make some ways to get over but still trials .
according to housing conditions;
for hospital staff they stay in side the hospital camp , except for the resident and GP they can stay out the hospital camp as their low salaries is not so much and the hospital affairs keep camp only for those people with high salaries like specielest and consaltant as their salary is so high and thier housing allawance will be so high .
for those people leaving out side the hospital , low level housing is the onaly available facility and for their bad luck with high priz not compitable with the value of the building .
According the puplic services,
Electricity has been provided to Adum only on 2007 so you can imagine the frequancy of the power failure , and how much people suffer as air conditions stop working and also get burnet .
But to be fair they start to manibulate the proplem by new electric net work ,
Water supplies;
wills is the only water supply in Adum , being carried to houses by the tube system only one day per week (tuesday) and you and me will sufer if water is not enough for the week , in this situation you will buy water tank to get the water.
neither the water supplied by the tube nor the tank are suitable for drinking , and drinking water is taken as bottle from markets.
Internet services ;
it is impossible to download any data more than one mega easly from Adum as 1-there is no ADSL service available , 2- no three G mobile service available in here ,,, that is one cause why it is not easy to contact to the world and it is very difficult to attain knowlge .
Toransportation;
only puplic transportation vhecile is one bus move from Jada at 9:00 am and move from Adum at 5 pm that is why you will lose two days to go and come from Jada to do any little business.
If use your own vhicle , be so much carful from cammels as it can distory your car and kill you so easly and no one will bay to your family if any of them survive.
according to food supply
you will find not all the food staff but the essential some for your survival , and the point that foreigners is living in adum as torrists only on trial to buy their needs of food and clothes.
to buy good food and clothes you have to go 370 km to Jada or Maka to buy your needs , or adapte your self to adum and forget to enjoy your life .
wheather;
very hot and dry by summer and good in winter , and some time so dusty specially in summer , that is why asthma symptoms aggrivates with some people, alse this dusty weather will distory your car paints, lights and glasses so go slowly on the right side of the way if dusty wheather .
this is breif discription of Adum and the most important building in it which said that it was built mistakly in Adum as the accual position of that hospital was Al-lith but by the effort of one good leader of this area he shift the hospital to adum by giving the land which was so much intelligent behaviour from him , he was called sheikh (Ahmed Alhassani Almalki) who provide this priceless gift to the people of his locality.

  • Yes,it's a worst place. This article is true. Think hundred times if you assign in this place especially if you are a nurse. This place you will suffer, no rights, no justice and no respect from the patients and people living in here. The Administration no help and support hopefully in the future they'll be a big changes. But when...????
  • I was there in Adhum during the 100 beds Hospital, in 1981-82. It was constructed by SACC, and then after, I had been transfers to Qunfuda. For Qunfuda 100 beds Hospital construction.
  • I was there 1987-1988 as the engineering manager, I lived on site. The housing provided for my staff was of a very low standard. The hospital generated all its own electricity (3 Deutz diesel generators) and treated its own water which came from a well above the village. Maintenance was a problem as we were continually shorted on spare parts. My crews were very good at improvisation. The village had a rudimentary power supply and suffered frequent outages. Mail was delivered twice a week. The was no phone service. On the plus side the area was scenic and the restaurant near the hospital made a decent curry.
