Kadrina railway station is a railway station in Kadrina municipality, Lääne-Virumaa province. Kadrina station has one 100 m long platform. Eastbound Elron passenger trains on the Tallinn–Rakvere and Tallinn–Narva lines stop at Kadrina. As of 2020, eight passenger trains a day stopped at Kadrina. The station was opened in 1870 in connection with the construction of the (Paldiski–)Tallinn–Narva railway. After its opening, it was located on the lands of the Niruti manor in Kadrina parish. The first stationmaster of Kadrina was Alexis Kreutzwald, the son of Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald. Until the second half of the 20th century, the station was preceded by the Niruti railway station, and later the Udriku railway station was built in its place. The station was followed by the Hulja railway station. In 1984, the railway station was converted to fully automatic interlocking and the station staff moved to a new building. The separate position of ticket seller was eliminated. During the Soviet era, in addition to the station master, four station masters worked in shifts at the Kadrina station; now the station is managed with automated equipment. Today, Kadrina has become an intermediate station of the Estonian Railways, with three side tracks in addition to the main track.
