Rakke Museum is a museum of the Rakke Rural Municipality Educational Society, a local history museum, located in the Rakke hamlet; reopened on 28. XII 2000. The museum is managed by the Rakke Rural Municipality Educational Society (RVHS), the director of the museum is Antti Ilomets. The aim of the museum's activities is to collect, preserve and introduce historical objects, documents, photographic material, memories and other materials related to the past, and to arouse interest in the history of the locality among the population. Many of the museum's exhibits originate from the Rakke School Museum (founded in 1959), which operated in the 1960s and 1970s under the leadership of Helmut Joonuks. Work in the museum is carried out on a voluntary basis.

The museum has approximately 5,000 items of objects, publications, documents, photographs and other museum items. Approximately 500–600 items are constantly on display. The permanent exhibition introduces the municipality and the small town, the region's industry, agriculture, community activities, social and educational life, including famous people associated with Rakke (Karl Ernst von Baer, ​​Friedrich Robert Faehlmann, Hugo Laur, Eduard Viiralt, etc.), ancient and household work and consumer items, as well as materials from the three schools in the region (Rakke Gymnasium, Salla Primary School and Lahu Elementary School). Temporary exhibitions are organized in the museum's premises and elsewhere.

The museum operates in four rooms on the first floor of the Rakke Gymnasium boarding building and is open on Wednesdays from 11 am to 3 pm.
