On the A588 road which links Poulton Le Fylde and Lancaster. This is the first bridging of the River Wyre, about 6 miles upstream from the estuary at Fleetwood, which is also connected with Over Wyre, by a passenger ferry boat to Knott End. The ferry service is limited by season, tides, etc. and last boats are generally around 1800hrs from either location.
