A rather dilapidated park close to the centre of Bolton. Originally named Bolton Park, it was opened in 1866 by The Earl of Bradford, and givn it current name in 1897 in honour of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. The Park once contained Chadwicks Museum which closed in 1955 and was later demolished. The River Croal flows through the south of the Park with some associated reservoirs alongside and these areas are popular with anglers.

Highlights include some spectacular flowerbeds(particularly close to Chorley New Road on the northern boundary), a pleasant duckpond, a number of statues including one of Benjamin Disraeli, some interesting wildlife including reebeds and kingfishers and some great picknicking sites with views across the town of Bolton. There is a play area though this is fairly small and in need of some updating.
