Turkish-built five-storey hospital; was the largest in Palestine, and was the only one with cancer treatment during the Gaza war.

It consisted of 180 rooms. The interior space totalled up to 33,400 m².

Construction started in 2011 by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and was completed in 2017; the 2012 and 2014 Gaza Wars affected the progress. When the Board of Visitors of the Islamic University of Gaza was visiting Turkey in 2010, they requested that a hospital be built for the university.

Transferred to Gaza on March 26, 2020 to combat COVID-19 in the region.

The third floor was damaged by airstrike on October 30, 2023.
Shut down on November 1 due to fuel shortages.
Blown up on March 21, 2025, by two simultaneous Israeli explosions.
