Story goes that Christoffer lost his wife, Cecilia who died in childbirth in 1759 at 25 years old. Christoffer prmoised to not marry anyone else, but ended up getting engaged to another woman 20 years later. Hoping to escape his promise with Cecilia, he had the wedding at Stavanger Cathedral, but he was found anyways. during the ceremony, Cecilia appeared right in front of him, and he died 8 days later.
