The Appenzell Art Museum (formerly the Liner Museum) is an art museum in the Swiss canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden, it was originally dedicated to the work of the two representatives of modern art from Appenzell, Carl August Liner and Carl Walter Liner, currently showcases 20th and 21st century art in special exhibitions and displays of its own collection. The Appenzell Art Museum was designed by architects Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer, it was designed starting in 1996, built between 1997 and 1998 and inaugurated in September 1998, the client was the "Stiftung Liner", today's "Foundation cultural Heinrich Gebert Appenzell”. It was donated by the industrialist Heinrich Gebert.
