castle ruins, archaeological site

A ruined fortified site overlooking Qez Qal`eh (and sometimes referred to by the same name). The site dates back to the Iron Age, but most of those remains have been obscured by subsequent settlement into the Middle Ages. One tentative identification for the large Iron Age site is Meshta.
