The main purpose of the Schools is for the organisation and administration of the university examinations. Many of the final and other examinations for the University's students take place in the building, especially during Trinity Term.

  • Probably the greatest work of Oxford's ubiquitous Victorian architect, Sir Thomas Jackson, it was used as a hospital in the First World War. Since then it has continued in its original use as a centre for the torture of undergraduates.
