This was a truly great Fish and Chip Shop in the very best regional tradition. Beef dripping for frying, and their home made individual steamed puddings could be had "With" or "Without" onion, you were asked your preference on ordering.

These were the best pudding and chips to be had for miles around, and as a boy I was frequently despatched to pick up supper for the family, by the number 9 bus from Summit, with 1 1/2d for the child fare each way.
