On April 3 1975, 1st Lt. Pham Quang Khiem of the VPAF 435th Squadron and Major Nguyen Huu Canh of the VPAF 437th Squadron stole this C-130 to get their families out of Vietnam and flew to Singapore. This aircraft was returned to the USAF and served on active duty until 1989, when it was delivered to the National Air and Space Museum and put on outdoor display at Dulles Airport. In 2018 it was moved to its current location.
