Established as an ISAF Forward Operating Base by Canadian military units during the early Spring of 2006 which could serve as an interim staging area for Dutch convoy operations before before the Dutch inflow into theatre in the form of Task Force Uruzgan began in April-May 2006. It was later decommissioned and dismantled by the Dutch once they had complated their investment in Uruzgan in the fall of 2006.
