Iske Kazan (Eski Kazan, "Old Kazan") or possibly originally Ichke Kazan ("Inner Kazan") is an archaeological site on the Kazansu/Kazanka river, just to the north of modern Kamaevo, and northeast of Kazan. It is believed to have been an early center of the Kazan Khanate. The site sits atop a defensible height overlooking the Kazansu river, and was protected by double earthwork walls (separated by a moat) from the north side.
