The site of a medieval settlement, an eastern extension of the major Golden Horde center at Tsarev to the west (believed to be medieval Gulistan, but often identified, erroneously, as New Saray). The extension of the settlement south towards the banks of the Akhtuba river contained a major public building, presumably a religious complex. The remains have been surveyed, but are much effaced by agriculture.
