My Alma-Mater, the Govt Academic High School, I have studied here from 1954 to 1960, our Head Masters were M/S. Nafde,Jagirdar,Babulgaonkar and teachers (Sirs) were Tajjamul Hussain, Raees Ahmed Jafari, Abdul Majeed, Ibrahim Sahib, Akhtar Hussain, M.A. Rahim, Kazi Sahib and drill teacher.Friends who were my class mates, Afaq Hussain Haji, Sattar,Hamid, Fahim , Naeem (all from Camp),Arif, Samad ,Azhar Jamil,Saif-ud-din Shamim Azhar(City),Iqbal-ud-din,Azim, Riyaz Ahmed (Badnera).The imposing building built in black stone by the Nizam was "Kacheri"it was converted into Marathi high school after the Berar was leased to British in 1903 by the Nizam.
I still cherish the pleasent moments spent with class mates and sirs and will highly honoured to reciprocate same again, please do,....

I read the contents,and was delighted . I also remembered those past school days and remebered old colleagues.I have retired now from a multinational company as Zonal Manager,and setttled in Bhopal.Have three children ,two daughters,now married and a son.

I live just opposite academic high school and is born in Amravati.... academic ground my place to play hockey and later cricket..... stalwart players of hockey has their name inscribed on this ground.... shk imam, muqaddar ali baig and many more...... my father rais ahmed siddiqui was teacher in academic high school and served for thrice before retiring in 1986... I have so many memories of wonderful tournaments and great teachesr have taught thousands of students who are well settled in life... late Ibrahim ibban, late sabir ali, late tajuddin sahib, late wali ur rehman siddiqui, late Abdul majeed, iftekhar ali akhter, mohiuddin sir, shammim sir, shabbier sir, askari sir,.. late zaki sir and many more..... the building still looks magnificent and reminds the british era... there was a garden behind the school ...
