In 2014, the Kyiv City Council returned this land to communal ownership.
In 2023, she granted the site the status of a public park.

In 2024, the park was named in honor of Golda Meir – the Israeli politician and stateswoman, who is considered one of the founders of the state of Israel.
She was born in 1898 in Kyiv during the times of the Russian Empire.
In 1906, she and her family emigrated to the United States.
