Originally built as an administrative headquarters for a CCC camp that operated on this site, this building was later used as a forest ranger's residence and today makes up part of the Tunxis State Forest administrative complex. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a New Deal program that operated between 1933 and 1942. It provided work for unmarried, unemployed men who were struggling to find work during the Great Depression.
