South Amana is an unincorporated community in Iowa County, Iowa. It is part of the Amana Colonies National Historical Landmark. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amana_Colonies

A post office opened in 1874, which is still in operation.

The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad served South Amana from 1884 until 1980. After the Crandic (Cedar Rapids and Iowa City) railroad acquired the line in 1984, a junction with the Iowa Interstate (former Rock Island) railroad was built, so the site was known as Crandic Junction. After rebuilding the junction as a wye, this site has been known as the Yocum Connection.
