The Fab Foundation is a U.S. non-profit 501(c)3 organization that emerged from MIT's "Bits & Atoms" program. It was formed 2009 to support the growth of the worldwide "fab lab" network, and to develop regional capacity-building infrastructure. Our mission is to provide access to the tools, knowledge, and financial means to educate, innovate, and invent, to allow anyone to make (almost) anything, and create opportunities to improve lives and livelihoods.
