Donnan is a former city in Fayette County, Iowa. In 1991, the seven remaining residents voted to disincorporate the city.
The town was platted in 1878 as Donnan Junction, and incorporated as the city of Donnan in 1922. The population of Donnan peaked at around fifty people in the 1940s.
The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad served Donnan Junstion from 1880 until 1976.
