Mainly run as a summer camp and off-season retreat area, EWALU is a well established Eastern ioWA Lutheran bible camp affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). The camp's 500+ acres include lengthly wooded trails, a river (bridged at a few points) and plains areas. Visitors may camp at EWALU with advanced notice.
