Former Naugatuck High School which was designed c. 1905 by McKim, Mead & White with funds provided by John H. Whittemore who was a Naugatuck industrialist and philanthropist. The interior was damaged by fire in the 1960s, but was painstakingly restored to become a junior high school, now called Hillside Middle School.
