The central train station in Kharkiv is one of the biggest railway stations in Ukraine.
Also is known as Kharkiv-Pivdennyi in Ukrainian or Kharkov-Yuzhnyi in Russian (Kharkiv-South) and Kharkiv-Passazhyrskyi (Kharkiv-Passenger) terminal.

The first station in Kharkiv was built in 1869 by the famous Russian architect Andrey Ton.
With the development of railways in 1896-1901 the station was expanded and modernized by architect I. Zagoskin, completed by architect J. Caune.
