The Bengoh Dam is located at the summit of Borneo, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The dam was built in 2007 and was completed by the end of 2010. It is capable of providing clean water to nearly 2 million users throughout the city of Kuching by 2030. The dam is capable of supplying an additional 130 million miles for the Batu Kitang Water Treatment Plant before it is distributed to consumers around Kuching. Construction began on August 7, 2007 at a cost of RM310 million. The dam was completed by Dec 6, 2010. The mini-turbine is designed to allocate three megawatts of electricity to be connected to the main network. A total of 394 families are involved in the Bengoh Dam.
