Adel is a city in Dallas County, Iowa, along the North Raccoon River. The population was 3,682 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Dallas County.

The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad served Adel from 1882 until 1980.
