Taejongdae Information Office - Taejongdae is a natural park in Busan with magnificent cliffs facing the open sea on the southernmost tip of the island of Yeongdo-gu with several facilities for tourists like an observatory, an amusement park, a lighthouse, and cruise ship terminal. The highest peak is 250 meters with forests of pine and 200 other varieties of trees.

It is said that the name comes from King Taejong Muyeol (604 - 661), the 29th king of Silla Kingdom who liked to practice archery here, after the unification of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. Taejongdae, along with Oryukdo (island), is Busan Monument #28.
