The municipality of Raas Al-Ma'ara, administratively subject to the Yabrud sub-governorate in the Governorate of the Damascus Suburbs, is situated along Lebanon's eastern mountain range that runs along the Southwestern border of Syria. It is bounded from the Northwest by Lebanon, from the northeast by the village of Al-Mushrefa, from the South by the village of Jibba, and from the East by the city of Yabrud. It is 89 km outside the capital city of Damascus.
