Once one of the best wetland of bengal that extended upto Sunderban area. This was an excellent virgin area having rich biodiversity of insects and spider fauna as well as many aquatic and migratory birds. Due to urbanization, deforestation and extreme use or crabicide, insecticide, and weedicide, the beauty of the bill is lost. For a naturalist it is a graveyard.
