As of the nineteenth century, belonged to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. In 1869, the Lavra built a wooden church in honor of the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which was named "The Assassination of the Dead." Here, in the summertime, worship was held for the brothers who worked at the village opposite Chernecha (now Vodnikov) on the island. Wooden buildings of the village, ice, livestock, ruins of the chapel existed here (in place of the modern club of young sailors "Shkval") after the Second World War. There is also a monastic well preserved here. The second chapel stood near the canal at a distance of 1 km. in the southwest from the first (the foundation has survived to our time). And in the place of the same church (destroyed in the 30's of the twentieth century.), Three age pines are now rising. Near the church, the monks set up a lake, and on the island meadows a network of canals against spring floods. Part of this bow were taken under vineyards (Dzibaltovsky, 2004)
