Owned by City of Orlando - acquired by Dr. Phllilps Inc. with a portion still retain by Dr. Phillips Inc. which purchase the tract of land from Keybank who acquired it from TRUST Corp of Ohio.
Plans show a new development that is to include mostly city parks but a smaller portion of commercial & residential named "The Packing District" in reference to old Dr. Phillilps Orange Package Warehouses along the main area of the packing district area on OBT US 441.
The original property was owned by Parkway Properties / Pillar Bryton Company and included both parcels on either side of John Young Parkway. Plans of an industrial park named "Capital Square" never materialized in the late 1980s due to the financial issues of the William du Pont III in the early 1990s.
