Olot es un municipio de Cataluña, España. Situado en la provincia de Gerona, capital de la comarca de La Garrotxa especialmente conocida por sus lugares de interés natural; no en vano todo su término municipal se encuentra dentro del Parque Natural de la Zona Volcánica de la Garrotxa. Los volcanes más conocidos y visitados son el de Santa Margarida,Croscat y el Volcán Montsacopa tambien conocido como San Francisco.

El croscat es famoso debido a que el terreno está "cortado" y se pueden apreciar perfectamente los estratos geológicos), encontrándose a su pie el Jardín Botánico de Vegetación Natural Olotina.

También despierta un gran interés la "Fageda d'en Jordà", un inmenso bosque de hayas exquisito para perderse y pasear, tanto a pie como en bicicleta, a caballo o en carruaje.

Cabe mencionar el arte y la industria de estatuaria cristiana que desde el siglo XIX se estableció por toda la ciudad, siendo el maximo representante el Arte Cristiano, fundado por Marià Vayreda y existente hoy día, donde trabajaron los notables escultores Miquel Blay y Josep Clarà.
