Open Joint Stock Company "Vologda building designs and road machines factory" (in other words "Dormash") was founded in 1947 as an auto repair factory. In 1971 it started to produce road building machinery that is inventory mobile buildings for the road organizations, trailers and scrapers and become the leading company producing mobile domestic buildings in RSFSR Minavtodor system.
Since 1987 the factory specializes in manufacturing of mobile (inventory) buildings of container type of different functional purposes such as dwelling, manufacturing, domestic-and-sanitary, warehouse and auxiliary.
Since 1996 the factory produces block containers of the system "Kontur" of main dimension types (2,5х6 m; 2,5х9 m; 2,5х6,8 m; 2,8х8 m; 3х6 m; 3х9м; 3х12) on runnings, runners or in stationary version of different functional purposes both in one and two storeys construction.
Since 2002 of OJSC "SKDM" makes fast constructed buildings "VolDom" of dwelling and social appointment. The factory designs, manufactures, delivers and mounts on a turn-key basis buildings up to 3 storeys.
