Lviv Opera (Ukrainian: Львівська оперa, Polish: Opera Lwowska) is one of the best opera and ballet houses in Europe. The building was built between 1897 and 1900. The Lviv Opera was originally called the Grand Theater until it was renamed in 1939 by the Soviet authorities.
