Shazi (Guangzhou)

The island shape looks like a shark, and in Chinese the Shazi means small shark in English. It’s a small island of 1.3 square kilometers in the estuary of Zhujiang River. Total population is merely 400. Most of the residences here are employed in Agriculture and aquaculture sectors. There island is quite isolated as it can only be accessed by small boat. The economic development on the island is far behind the booming cities / towns nearby
