terraced house, 1790s construction, Grade II Listed (UK), terrace (building)
Terrace of 12 houses. c1792. Possibly by William Paty. Brick, some stucco, with limestone dressings, party wall stacks and pantile hipped mansard roof. Double-depth plan. Mid Georgian style. Each of 3 storeys, basement and attic; 3-window range.
Planned as part of a uniform development with Nos 48-52 Kingsdown Parade Developed by James Weekes and Charles Lockier to a design similar to contemporary ones by William Paty. The plots were sold to separate builders, and interior details were completed by the clients. The full terrace extends to No.86, and is interrupted by the near-contemporary but symmetrical No.80.
