Gaetaesa King Taejo Wang Geon Shrine - Gaetaesa was founded by King Taejo Wang Geon, the founder of the Goryeo dynasty, more than a thousand years ago in commemoration of unifying the Later Three Kingdoms (940 CE). This is the Hall where Taejo Wang Geon’s portrait is enshrined. Originally a large temple, all of the buildings were demolished by Japanese invaders. The current temple was reconstructed not too long ago, not far from the original site.
