Also know as Saint John's Island (Portugese : IIha Sao Joao), total coastline is 139.87 km whereas the area is 137.3 square kilometers. It was one of the earliest landing place in China for Westerners especially Portugese. Accoding to history, St. Xavier passed away on this island.
