Nea Iraklitsa is a seaside settlement of the prefecture of Kavala. It is administratively owned by the municipality of Pagaiou and by the Kapodistrias program in the municipality of Eleftheres. According to the 2001 census it had 916 inhabitants. Nea Iraklitsa was founded by refugees from Eastern Thrace in 1924, when 102 families settled there. It is located 13 kilometers west of Kavala.
