stable, Grade II Listed (UK)

3 ranges of 2 storey stable buildings, pre 1870, forming a T, with haylofts in upper storey. Sandstone walls with 1 half-timbered gable facing loose-yard. Red tile roof over west wing. Roof over south wing replaced in red Roman tiles. Roof over east wing graded grey slate. Loading doors to haylofts; stable doors, sliding casements and hoppers to stables. A simple but complete example of a stud stable. John Douglas proposed an ambitious rebuilding in 1870 which was never executed
