Former Roslyn War Memorial Building designed c. 1921 by Frederick M. Godwin for the firm of Hoppin & Koen as a memorial to the soldiers of WWI with funds provided by the Roslyn Neighborhood Association. In 1952, the Roslyn Library moved in when their former location was condemned to make way for the Hempstead Harbor viaduct.
