Memorial place. Soviet tank T-34. This is the only remaining tank monument in Estonia.
Estonia's only remaining tank monument is situated near the road leading from Narva to Narva-Jõesuu. The place resembles the location where on 25–26 July 1944, troops on the Leningrad Front crossed the Narva River under the leadership of General Fedjuninski. T-34/85 is situated on a high limestone base and, because it is a tank monument, it is missing many important nodes and details. The place has become one of the most popular visiting places for newlyweds in Ida-Viru County, mainly in Narva. It is a common wedding tradition to place a colourful ribbon around the barrel. The war machine looks unusually merry thanks to the ribbons.
The T-34, a Soviet medium tank, had a profound and lasting effect on the field of tank design.
