Alte Pinakothek - Old Pinakothek. One of Munich's three Pinakotheken - adjacent, associated art museums.

Constructed 1826-1836 as the world's largest museum building. Severely damaged by air bombardments in World War 2. Rebuilt 1952-57.

Dedicated to paintings of the 14th to 18th century. About 700 of the several thousand paintings are constantly on display, among them works by Albrecht Dürer, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffael, Rembrandt, Hieronymus Bosch, Rubens and others.
