The nature conservation park of regional value Botanical reserve 'Chalky Hill' is in the North-Western neighborhood of the city. There are outputs of carbonate rocks with calcified steppe growing here. There are rare species of calciphilous plants of the Red Book of the Russian Federation (matthiola fragrant, dubrovnik, white-tomentose, ivyanka chalky, etc.).
Prohibited activities and environmental management:
On the territory of the protected area any actions that can harm the reserve and lead to the death or decrease in the number of all species of plants and animals are prohibited:
- plowing of land and carrying out forest land reclamation works;
- violation of the soil and vegetation layer;
- haying, grazing and run of agricultural animals;
- placement of apiaries;
- use of fertilizers and chemical plant protection products;
- carrying out geological exploration and prospecting works;
- development of mineral resources;
- mass recreation of the population and laying of tourist routes;
- collection of flowers, berries, fruits, seeds of all kinds of medicinal plants and technical raw materials;
- other activities that violate the natural development of natural processes, threatening the state of natural complexes, their components or unrelated to the purpose of protected areas.
